The Blues Faux Canvas

Welcome to my stop on Club Scrap's The Blues Blog Hop
For this month's hop, I've created a faux canvas that can be hung on the wall or held by an easel. It features The Blues 8.5 x 11" Deluxe Grey Print and an orchestra portrait of my daughter.

A little about this project.

1. Create base box with Book Board. I used Book Binding Glue to attach the six Book Board pieces cut to create the 7-3/4 wide x 6-1/2" tall x 1-1/2" deep box. Punch a hole in the center back for hanging.

2. Wrap box with The Blues 8.5 x 11" Print using a foam brush, Book Binding Glue and bone folder. Punch hole through cardstock for hanging.

3. Now that the base is ready, collect feature photo and embellishments for attaching. Since there was empty space in this photo, I used a rubber stamp from The Blues Collection Unmounted Rubber Stamp sheet for stamping directly onto photo.

4. Matte and attach 5x7 photo onto faux canvas and simply embellish.

I used the "less is more" theory here with very simple embellishing, I didn't want to take away from the stamped quote, the cardstock print and feature photo.

Next on the hop is Julie at Cape Cod Scrapper, you won't want to miss her great project!!
