String Art Handmade Album Cover
Ahoy Maties!!! As usual, I'm really enjoying my position here at Club Scrap Inc. designing projects! I really had a lot of fun creating this Month's Come Sail Away Club Stamp project - the Ship's Log String Art book (and hope you like it too). You remember the string art done with little nails and wood plaques right? It can be as elaborate or simple as you want it to be. Well I found that our little paper brads work well for wrapping the waxed linen thread around to create the string art sailboat on the front of this handmade mini ablum. With the included template (for hole piercing & stringing) in the April Club Stamp kit, it's smooth sailin'
After wrapping the matte board covers and rubber stamping on them, the stringing fun begins. Then a basic pamphlet is used to stitch in the inside pages, and the book is ready to fill with favorite quotes, journaling, sketches, rubber stamping and photos. Of course the Ship's Log project card that comes with the kit has great stepout pics and instructions to follow.
I couldn't seem to stop at just one album once I had the sailboat template that we've created for the kit in hand, so I made another album with the same template, but using other materials from my own stash of cool Club Scrap stuff. Just thinking of all the string art possibilities that could be used....
Instead of using a cardstock wrapped album cover, I used the Versailles Canvas to cover this album, rubber stamping on it first, and I just love the result! The canvas adds to the nautical feel of this handmade album. Here a pic of my stamped & stringed cover before adding the insides....
and then stamping on and adding the inside cover, (the Bon Voyage Anchor stamp came in handy with this ablum's theme)
and adding the holes and eyelets in the binding area for attaching inside pages.
Here I am adding inside pages, with that same simple pamphlet stitch,
I also enjoyed stamping and adding cruise photos to the inside pages,
Here is it, all completed and filled with photos, and memories.
Another hand crafted keepsake created!
Thanks for looking - wishing you sunny skies and smooth sailing!

Rubber Stamping & Spring Flowers Bloom Together
One of my favorite things to do this time of year is picking the spring blooms from my yard and bringing them inside to enjoy. However, the vase just doesn't look complete until a Club Scrap Rubber Stamped quote is attached to it! I used the Concrete Playground Remix quote today.
So adding this quote above.....
...to these flowers I picked this morning,
brightens ones day!
Here at Club Scrap Inc. the members and I are exposed to over 35 new rubber stamp images/quotes/words each and every month, (yes we put out more new rubber stamp images each month than any other company I know of!) so finding a quote that is appropriate to go on your vase of hand picked flowers for any occasion, whatever it may be, works out well.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day,
Kay
