Picnic Box

Welcome to my stop on Club Scrap's Picnic Blog Hop.

I used the Club Stamp Picnic Text Print to wrap this storage box. It's a hinged lid box that holds 5x7" cards and mini albums.

The lid lifts and allows the front wall to drop down.
The first step was cutting the book board pieces using a grid ruler and utility knife, then gluing them together to form the box and lid.

Once the lid and body of the box were assembled, it was time to wrap the lid, body, and side door. Play some "wrap" music for this.

Paper also served as the hinges for the door and lid. If you took my Clock Tower Workshop at the 2013 Retreat, you know all about this.

This box provides lovely storage for my set of Picnic Greetings To Go cards.

Next on the hop is the talented Cathy at The Artful Gamut.

Thank you for stopping by.

  6. what a brilliant idea! I can find so many uses for a box like that!. each one decorated to suit the cards inside. when the box is empty, it could only mean I need more cards to be made... birthday, kids birthday, thank you's, congratulations, wedding, sympathy, get well, etc...

  7. Very cute box! That wrapping of the clock had me frazzled though! ;) I like how when using the print you don't have to worry too much about the way the papers line up!

    1. Sorry, you didn't miss dimensions, I was working out the kinks when putting together this Picnic Card Box so I didn't have them available. However I may be working on those soon to create a project kit for Club Scrap, so hoping to have all the details and maybe even a kit available with cut pcs in the future. Thank you for asking!

    2. Yes, that would be wonderful if you could share the dimensions. I've been searching for a diy box to store my tags for my junk journals and this is the first one I find that would be perfect 😊

      Thank you Marisol
